Willie Larry Randolph, born July 6, 1954, is a former American professional baseball player celebrated here for his 10-year tenure with the New York Yankees. Over the 13 seasons, he showcased exceptional defence and batting discipline, contributing to World Series victories in 1977 and 1978. Randolph earned six All-Star selections and was the Silver Bat Award recipient in 1980. From 1986 to 1988, Randolph co-captained the Yankees alongside Ron Guidry. Beyond his playing career, Randolph served 11 seasons as a coach, contributing to the teams for World Series championships from 1996 to 2000. He’s a leader both on and off the field left and an incredible Mark on the Yankees Legacy. In 2015, the Yankees honoured him with a park in Monument Park, recognizing his enduring impact.
